So the first time I read the book I had checked it out from the library. I almost didn't get it because it looked like it could turn into another love triangle story that I generally despise and in my opinion has been all but beaten to death.I'm pleased to say that this book is not your typical teen stupid suicidal girl saved by half naked guy story; instead each character had a real personality that really gets to you after a while. If you're any kind of book worm you'll quickly find yourself absorbed in the story and characters.
The only bad thing I have to say about this book is that it has typos, spelling errors, sentence structure errors, and miss used words throughout the book. I was a little disappointed because of that but as long as you can overlook such things you'll enjoy the story.
"Note" I'm writing this after reading only the paperback printed version which contained the errors, so I can't say for sure that the E version does as well.

I am hooked love this trilogy!!!! Can wait to read the next Installment in this series. The books are fun and sexy .
It arrived on time. I really enjoyed the book.
Bought this for my granddaughter. She is loving it. She loves scaring herself and apparently this book does the trick.
As someone who used to live in San Francisco, I live all the descriptions of the City and how the book opens on a foggy morning. You start to care about the characters right away and are able to suspend your disbelief when things get weird-and they do!
I saw the author at an event and thought I would check the book out on my iPad. I'm not really into these types of fantasy reads but very quickly in this book read like an anime series (for all my nerds, think Persona meets High School of the Damned without the zombies) and a "quick browse" led to a night that I didn't put my iPad down. Kat makes it very easy to truly care about the characters and really wanting to see what happens next. Lots of twists and turns and great surprises that weren't expected- thank goodness! Waiting for the rest of the series now!! Granted, as one reviewer stated, there are a few typos and grammatical errors but do yourself a favor, overlook them and fall in love with Nualla and Patrick like I did. As a side note, I would really love to see this as a movie someday in the future.

Pretty much everything, but the rest makes it so worth it.
Daemons in the Mist is a wonderful tale full of twists and turns that kept even me (the human future-telling machine) guessing at what would happen next. Patrick and Nualla have a chemistry that seems to feed off of each other, making the characters feel realistic. The story is told in a such a convincing way that it's believable that the world could exist this way.
When I was at the Santa Clara Arts and Wine festival, at one of the booths was this book. I asked if it was available in and was told yes. I'm really glad it was because I'm always looking for new authors.
I'd read some of the other reviews before I bought the book, so I knew going in there would be a lot of spelling and grammatical errors, and there were, but it didn't take away from the story line, or the way it was told.
I did notice after I finished the book that the author is dyslexic, so that may account for the spelling errors. Keep up the good work, and I'm really looking forward to your next book!
